BBE welcomes a new director of operations to its fold. Dennis Gould, a veteran of the airline industry, will coordinate and oversee BBE’s day-to-day operations in Edmonton, Inuvik, Iqaluit and other locations out of BBE’s Edmonton office effective April 1, 2008. “I am excited about working with the BBE staff. They deal with challenges only the North can bring, and they do so expertly,” said Dennis. “I am looking forward to helping BBE continue excelling in an ever expanding field of operations, centred in the NWT and fanning out into Nunavut, Alberta, the Yukon and even Alaska.” He has worked with Central Western Airfreight, Pacific Western Airlines, Canadian Airlines and, most recently, with Canadian North. He has worked as a load planner with PWA and a customer service representative with the Canadian Airlines’ System Operations Control Centre. During the past seven years with previous employer Canadian North Airlines, he held many operational/management roles. He played a large part in the development of the airline as it evolved from a virtual airline to an operating entity. His influence on Canadian North had far reaching effects in that company. More recently, Dennis managed Canadian North’s airport operations system-wide, including managing contracts and ground operations. “Dennis brings a wealth of aviation and transportation experience to the team. In his 35 years within the airline industry, Dennis worked his way up from the ramp to various senior positions. He knows his business and brings with him operational strengths we need to continue to grow our business model,” said BBE President Gary Reid.
